Finding The Perfect Christmas Party Dress With Chi Chi London

9 December 2019

*items in this blog post have been kindly gifted, however all opinions are my own*

It’s officially December, which means it’s officially Christmas party szn.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll spend a good amount of time staring at the party wear section of your wardrobe then come to the conclusion you have absolutely nothing to wear to have to the party. If you’re really like me, you’ll be dramatic for all of 5 minutes and threaten not going to the party because you have nothing to wear. Every single year. This year, Chi Chi London clothing kindly gifted me two outfits to help me get ready for Christmas Party season.

The statement 2 piece
Up until recently, I was sold on the ideas that a Christmas party outfit had to be a dress, missing out on all the 2 piece coordinates, suits and jumpsuits on offer. So to switch it up, I opted for the Rachel 2 piece set. Firstly, I love the fact that the pattern makes you look like a shiny Christmas tree ornament and secondly the ruffles in this dress are just divine.

Before the top and skirt arrived, I was a bit sceptical of the fit not looking right on me (I sized up) but how wrong was I, the top and the bottom half fit amazingly and made me feel super comfortable in an outfit I would normally be put off from wearing because of insecurities with my arms. I’m over that now, so this Chi Chi London outfit could not come at a better time.

The detailed design is something I won’t be able to get over until Christmas 2020

The Little Black Dress
Nothing like a little black dress for that classic party look. Although part of me wants to be adventurous when it comes to party looks, I know a little black dress will go a long way. And the Arina Dress from Chi Chi London goes all the way. The lace detailing is what caught my eye initially, how beautiful is the pattern black lace detail.

Another feature which immediately grabbed my attention was the ruffles (notice the theme here), the off shoulder detailing is such a statement but done in such a classy, non OTT way – and I’m here for it. I’ve paired it with fluffy bag (because any excuse to bring out the fluffy bag) and sparkly strappy shoes for the additional Christmas glam. How nice would this dress be with a big fluffy coat? Stylish and keeps you warm – you’re welcome!

Thanks to the team at Chi Chi London, I have two dresses to take me through the party szn.
