2018 Travel Wishlist

11 January 2018

It's safe to say we're fully into the swing of January and I can now start thinking (realistically) about what 2018 will hold. With most things, I like to plan ahead but planning travel is a whole new game. Something about it excites me so much and I become THE most excessive planner.

If you’re like me and have already started thinking about where you'd like to travel this year and want some extra inspiration then look no further.

As I think 12 places (one per month is a bit excessive...but hey...Never say Never)!  Here are my top 7 places on my 2018 travel wishlist…

1) Stockholm

My first trip of 2017 was to Copenhagen, Denmark so keeping tradition I am eager to visit the Swedish city of Stockholm and sample authentic Swedish Meatballs.

2) Croatia

This is the place everyone went to in 2017 and I don't want to jump onto the bandwagon but it looks absolutely beautiful. I'm certainly up for a weekend of waterfalls and scenic walks.

3) Singapore

This destination and all its surrounding islands have been on my list for absolutely ages and this summer its happening!!

4) Iceland

My obsession with the Nordics continues. Apparently, due to the influx of no-frills, cheap airlines flying to Iceland, Seeing the Northern Lights or should I say getting to the right location where you can see the Northern Lights is a lot cheaper than before.

5) Cuba

Brightly coloured buildings and rum, need I say more?

6) Malta

A highly-underrated and beautiful holiday destination. And to top it off, Valletta is the European Capital of Culture 2018.

7) Milan

After my stint interlining in Italy last summer, I certainly want to go back to the North. And with an abundance of stunning architecture, shops and all the pizza, pasta and gelato - I think a long weekend break is needed.

8) Budapest

I know I said 7 destinations but Budapest has been on my list for at least 2 years - someone take me please.

Expect to see my 'been to, done that' posts for all these destinations within the next year!
