East meets West: Skincare with KiraKira Studios

3 September 2017

If you've read my blog before you'll know I'm a sucker for a good skincare routine. I'm always looking for the best products on the market and it's safe to say Japanese women are known for having the most radiant, glowing and youthful skin. So when skincare and beauty brand, KiraKira Studios got in contact with me I couldn't wait to try out their debut product, AHA which as the bottle says contains 3 kinds of AHA(Alpha-hydroxy Acids) formulated in Japan for Western skincare.

Other facial washes have nothing on this product. The everyday remover or wash simply does the job of just removing make-up whereas AHA hydrates and brightens the skins complexion, stimulates collagen production, promotes cell turnover and increases natural barrier lipids in the skin’s outer layers to help prevent skin’s natural oils and water escaping.

As KiraKira Studios is PETA approved there are no harmful ingredients in the product, so it does the perfect job of removing makeup, oil and dirt without causing irritation to the skin. Within two days of using the product, I noticed my skin became so much softer.

I usually use it at the start of my skincare routine, massage it into my face in it then use micellar water and cotton wool. When pumped out the product is clear and free from all chemically smells. So if you're like me and don't like putting overly creamy products on your face then this one is for you. At first I was filled with doubt as from the past I've known that clear products don't necessarily get all the makeup off my face BUT with AHA every bit of makeup was removed and my skin felt SO hydrated.

What I liked most about the product was the collection of Alpha-hydroxy Acids used in it. They're all traditionally derived from plants and fermented milk. As these are best known for their benefits to the skin, the AHA cleansing lotion uses the optimal amount of AHAs. The mixture of Citric, Glycolic and Stearic acids work to improve the texture of skin and lightening dark spots, treat fine lines, acne, blackheads and oiliness and reduces skin’s water surface tension.

It's safe to say AHA has a permanent position in my skincare routine. If you want to purchase it and try out 'best facial cleanser on the market'(which I highly agree with), head over to kirakirastudio.com where it retails at £19.99. Also, each purchase you make with KiraKira Studio goes towards helping animals find rescue and refuge from cruelty.
