Counting down the days.

23 September 2015

Ever since Oliver Rousteing announced the Balmain and H&M collaboration I have literally been counting down the days. It's like Christmas is coming 1 month and 20 days early as the collection is released in H&M stores and online from the 5th November.

There are so many reasons I'm way more excited for this than I was for the Alexander Wang and H&M collab.

1) It actually looks like Balmain mainline

The collab was announced in May by Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn who were both wearing new pieces to come from the collection - Kendall donned a navy velvet jacket-dress intricately embroidered with pearl-like beads similar to pieces from Balmain's AW12 collection. Plus the red runched skirt Jourdan was wearing as part of the collection looked like it had walked straight off the AW13 catwalk. So it can be said that there are key details in the H&M collection which mirror classic Balmain styles.

We also got another sneak peek when H&M released images of this gorgeous black and gold, heavily-embellished dress not too dissimilar in style to the standard Balmain detailed piece. Once I get my hands on this dress(I am determined to get this) - I will be wearing it everywhere without fail. Every party, every night out, every trip to McDonalds - this dress will be making an appearance.

The H&M collaboration is taking usually-pricey Balmain products to a much wider audience, creating one big #BalmainNation.
